Gas Measurement Instruments Ltd (GMI), is a privately owned company based in Renfrew, Scotland. The Company was founded in 1947 and now supplies a range of both portable gas detection products and fixed gas detection systems.
GMI address a range of markets including Gas Supply and Distribution, Electricity Supply, Water & Sewerage, Telecommunications, Petrochemical, Landfill, Shipping, Brewing and Distilling.
Instruments have been supplied throughout the world to all these markets with long term supply agreements in many large organisations.
Appointed distributors in many countries of the world are able to provide comprehensive international sales and service support. Sales and service personnel across the UK provide effective customer service backed up by internal support teams.
The company has a Service Centre at Milton Keynes where all GMI portable gas detectors past and present are serviced and repaired. This facility holds a separate and dedicated spares stock to enable the company to offer a rapid turnaround on instrument servicing and repair for the UK customer base.
The company has been accredited to ISO-9001 by BSI since 1990 and now to ISO-9001:2000.
