I went here with my dad on Friday 21 November. I thought the restaurant looked lovely & welcoming and was delighted when we were seated in the mezzanine with the painted brick work arch, obviously underneath the railway. The service was attentive, happy to take our drinks and starter order first (we were starving!), and come back for our main course orders. We shared the mussels and both agreed it had been a long time since we had mussels quite so good. They were perfectly peach, big and juicy. I would have preferred some cream in the sauce however it is healthier without and just as delicious. For mains I had a margharita pizza with red peppers & onions and my dad had the penne with chicken in a creamy pesto sauce. Both were superb and well portioned. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. We had ordered a bottle of one of the house reds, the tempranillo, which was fabulous. Cracked pepper & spice with just enough fruit - very well balanced. My dad was paying so I hadn't been guarded when ordering however, he was delighted when the bill arrived (very rare!). One starter, two mains and a cheeky bottle of red for £40. £40!! A bargain. I work in the industry and was very impressed. Great food, fabulous wine and a comfortable bill. I would highly recommend and will be back next Saturday with my wee sister.
